MEET THE TEAM

We're AMI.
In our 29+ years, we've seen our fair share of road and parking lot construction needs. We know just how difficult it can be for you to schedule & complete your projects, and we're here to make it simple. Meet the team that makes it happen!

Rusty McDonald
President
Chief Executive Officer
When Rusty first entered into the asphalt industry in 1995, he saw an opportunity to meet a need for other businesses by providing all services for building and maintaining parking lots while making the execution of each project as simple and as painless as possible. His entrepreneurial spirit drives the vision of the company, but it’s his commitment to reliability and trustworthiness that determines the ultimate measurement of AMI’s success.

Cindi Baxter
Chief Integration Officer
Chief Human Resources Officer
With almost 30 years of Accounting, Human Resources, and Management experience, Cindi serves AMI by providing professional, timely interactions with customers, vendors, and our employees. She and her team manage payables, receivables, proposals, scheduling, and human resources. Cindi has a passion for safety and is instrumental in AMI's strategic planning process. If ever anyone was "Team AMI," it's Cindi.

Jack McDonald
Vice President
Jack is a second generation AMI employee and is working his way through each division at the company gaining a broad, yet thorough understanding of how our business operates. After spending time on each crew learning their trades, he is applying that to site analyses, estimating, and business development. Jack holds a Master's Degree in Business.

Ashley Cefalo
Chief Financial Officer
Ashley holds not only an accounting degree, but a mathematics degree as well. She has been working in the construction industry for 9+ years and has experience in Accounting, Human Resources, and Operations Management. Ashley directly manages payables, receivables, and customer billing, and enjoys the ever-changing atmosphere of the construction industry. She's our "problem solver."

Sam Kingsfield
Operations Manager
Over the course of his career, Sam has been responsible for overseeing and managing the field operations of several large asphalt and general contracting companies out West. He possesses a thorough knowledge of blueprints, codes, and regulations and has expertise in underground utilities, grading, paving, and other scopes of work relative to our industry. Sam's focus at AMI is quality control, project management, and safety, and he leads his teams with professionalism and passion. And have you checked out his mustache?

Chris Centeno
Superintendent
Chris began his construction career when he was a junior in high school as a laborer and mild equipment operator. Since then, he has graduated to the "big toys" and is a master excavator and grader and is experienced in estimating and project management. Chris isn't just a leader; he's a do-er, and operates our heavy equipment with ease and finesse. The most rewarding thing to Chris is seeing the progression of our work from day-to-day and start-to-finish

Jesse Sullins
Superintendent
An avid sportsman, Jesse knew early on that his career path would be in the great outdoors. He has spent the last 20 years working his way through the ranks in the asphalt industry from laborer to Superintendent, and is one of the most skilled paving professionals in the area. Jesse's leadership style is one that others willingly follow, and his drive to deliver the best paving product is unmatched. His forte is quality, and he especially enjoys working with customers as he helps their property go "from nothing to something."

David Lema
Superintendent
David earned his degree in Accounting and Business Management in his home state, but it didn't take him long to figure out that he did not want to be confined to an office nor did he want to suffer through the long Illinois winters. Luckily for AMI, David relocated to Tennessee and got into the construction field. His nine years of experience include historical remodels, plus multifamily and commercial ground-up buildouts. David is our quiet leader, and his ability to engage across cultures and life experience is one of the many qualities that make him a great asset to our team.

Dale Harris
Special Projects
Dale manages AMI's "specialty" division and leads the execution of special and other large-scale projects. He and his team specialize in electrical, HVAC, and building construction. Dale has over 25 years in project management, with his most notable builds being the Asurion Building and Bridgestone Tower.

Connie Hess
Director of Human Resources
Connie’s 30-year career encompasses a diverse range of experiences, including roles as a financial planner, business partner in professional consulting services, and human resources leader. After completing her MBA, she developed a strong passion for organizational development, design, and behavior, which continues to shape her approach to leadership and strategy. She spent the last few years leading Human Resources departments across various industries, including oil and gas, retail, building supply, and construction. Connie’s focus at AMI is people—fostering a positive workplace culture, developing talent, and ensuring the success of both employees and the organization as a whole.

Anslee Batson
Recruiting Coordinator
Anslee’s passion is making connections, which is evident in her work in Human Resources – especially recruiting. Her high energy and “get it done” attitude serve her well as she helps recruit, onboard, train, and retain our most valuable resource – our employees. Anslee earned her degree from the University of North Alabama, but she’s a Mississippi State Bulldog through and through, which makes for great banter around the office.

Nancy Martin
Accounting Coordinator
Nancy supports AMI as the Accounting Coordinator, focusing on payables. She has an extensive career in accounting, ensuring that all AMI payables are accounted for, and is the “go-to” for anything payment-related.

Finnegan DuBois
Estimator
After retiring from the NFL and receiving his business degree, Finn joined AMI as a Site Analyst. His "win" mentality is evident in his progression through the estimating department. Upon arrival, Finn quickly mastered the SA role, then the estimating assistant role, and is now a full-time estimator. The best thing about Finn is that he not only wants to win for himself, he wants to win for AMI, and he wants to win for our customers.

Andrew Offen
Estimator
Originally from Illinois, Andrew left his family's business for the warm confines of Tennessee and eventually, AMI. His experience in a related construction industry along with his tenure as Site Analyst on our staff have provided him a strong basis for creating customer proposals that are both solution oriented and cost effective.

Zane Potter
Site Analyst
With a Master's in Business Administration, Zane transitioned from banking to construction, starting as a Site Analyst. His background gives him a unique view, helping him combine finance skills with practical construction knowledge for successful projects. He is excited to contribute to AMI and the construction industry to grow his career and knowledge in this dynamic field.
